“I Met God in Mexico” sounds like a pretty good title for a film that might be directed by Quentin Tarantino but instead it is the title for Danny Taddei's fun little track. The song is purely that of the narrative type as in it tells a linear story starting directly from the beginning of where said story started. Taddei has a real country style to him though there is a little rock if you squint. He is like a mix of Kid Rock, Alan Jackson, Zac Brown Band and Jimmy Buffett. Speaking of Buffett you might find his inclusion of Taddei being a similar artists to him considering Buffett's own alcohol topic song, “Margaritaville”. “I Met God in Mexico” is a song you really have to listen to in order to understand the story but it's not hard to do so. If you're into casual fun country songs then this one is probably for you.
