With a title like “Omens” you would expect to hear some dark metal rock with a raspy voice accompanying shredding finger work during a one minute Slash style solo. Instead you surprisingly get light easy listening via Mr E Band. This is of the classic rock variety with some hints of alternative indie that has the same tones that you often here when listening to Shawn Colvin, Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks. The lead vocalist of the group has an inviting voice that you could probably listen to hours on end. Her voice is sort of like Alanis Morissette's but of a different quality. “Omens” is a great song with strong lyrics that continue all the way to the end. Whether or not you believe in omens, fate or destiny doesn't matter. This is a song worth listening to and getting lost in.
