“Ladies Room” sounds like something torn right from a Broadway play and there is nothing negative about that statement. Zazz, which is composed of Gail Sonkin, Deb Zelman, Ken O'Neil, Julian Webb and Greg Zabornaik are a jazzy quintent that excel at what they do like true professionals. “Ladies Room” is actually an original composition by pianist Gail Sonkin but there is more than just the piano in this classy number. Bass, drums, sax and other wind instruments come together to construct a nice short piece that is a delight to the ears. On first listen you might find yourself transported to some stage play or even the streets of the 1920s with those “Roaring 20s” sounds. You don't have to be a fan of theater or even jazz to enjoy this tune, “Ladies Room” is a pleasant addition to the SongLadder charts.
