Fans of both progressive and modern rock are in for a treat with Duane Cole's “The Day Before” granted anyone who enjoys themselves a good rock song will want to give this one a solid listen. It can't be overstated that Cole is a master on the guitar. The instrumental “The Day Before” is electrically charged emitting emotion all over the place as if Cole is some ancient rock god awakening from a restful sleep to once more announce his presence. From John Petrucci, Joe Satriani, Ritchie Blackmore to Jimi Hendrix and Yngwie Malmsteen there are a lot of comparisons that you could throw at Duane Cole and truthfully he deserves all of it. “The Day Before” is the type of track you expect to hear in some epic film featuring all types of evil undead and whatnot. Think films like The Evil Dead, Army of Darkness, Underworld and Resident Evil. Honestly though, you have to listen to “The Day Before” yourself so you can enjoy how amazing it is.
