“Noisy Silence” is anything but noise. The beautifully crafted song by Bassist Reginald Payne is like a warm breeze on a sunny day that is just meant to make you feel better. There is nothing to criticize with the skilled bass playing of Payne. “Noisy Silence” is the type of song that you wished they played while you were in the elevator or on hold because it just seems to calm you the minute that it comes on. It's also a song that would be appropriate for something romantic, think anniversaries, wedding, vacations and so on. Something of a jazz-fusion, the digital sounding lyrics being added in towards the last half of the song just gives “Noisy Silence” that extra pop, not that it needed it in the first place. To compare Bassist Reginald Payne to anyone would be a hard thing to do if you were just trying to come with something off the top of the head but think Earth, Wind and Fire without any lyrics and some digital sounds thrown in.
